Today, I wanted to start something new. I thought it could be fun, and hopefully helpful as well – we’ll be talking kitchen essentials, favorite ingredients, exercise equipment and everything in between! Favorite Things Friday, what do you think?! Well I’m excited, and I’m just going to pretend you are too ;)
To kick this off, I thought we’d start with something I use in the kitchen almost every single day. Whether I’m making a smoothie, mixing together cupcake batter, or chopping up an onion for salsa, the Ninja Master Prep Pro is my go-to. I use this thing so much that my mom, sister, best friend, and sister-n-law are all now hooked on it as well.
So let’s get into the particulars:
The model I purchased comes with the motor head and 3 different size bowls – essentially one chopper, one food processor, and one larger blender – though they all pretty much do the same thing. It also comes with the attachment to mix (with pouring spout) and lids to keep things for later. The blades are removable so it makes it easy if you want to blend up a drink and keep it in the container like a pitcher.
The concept of it is actually pretty neat. You basically just change the length of time you pulse the motor head, in order to get different results. Shorter time equals chopping, longer time equals puree, which is a big reason I like it so much. It’s very versatile, easy to use and easy to clean (it’s even dishwasher safe for lazy days!).
Generally, I use the smaller one to chop up individual ingredients, puree banana or avocado, as well as make oat flour! The medium size works great for smoothies and mixing up certain batters or sauces. The big one is best for large quantity blending, as well as blending up ice for frozen beverages.
When you see a recipe that calls for a food processor or blender, or whenever something has to be chopped up, you can pretty much assume I’m using this guy. The other thing that’s nice is it was very affordable, especially for everything it does. Win, win?! I think yes.
So there you have it for our very first edition of Favorite Things Friday!
